05.12.16. Started working at NOTAM with a meeting. Went through my program with Thom and Asbjørn, also had a discussion about next steps. Asbjørn worked on the volume slider and probably solved the “how to memorize”the last position of the hand (glove)? Thom tried to figure out why there is so much latency in my M4L patch. I worked on the panning thing and how to apply that to my program. Worked to about 8:00 in the evening.
06.12.16. Back at NOTAM around 10:00. Asbjørn working on a metronome to calculate conductors tempo and M4L. He is also working on a patch that should synchronize the conductor’s score and Ableton Live timeline. Seemingly found a way to jump back and forth in needed to be in synchronization. I and Thom spent most of the time debugging. Found out that most likely my computer needs to be rebuilt. Should do that when back to Trondheim. Should also buy an SSD harddisk to replace the one I have on my computer. Check out prisguide.no Also should think carefully about the connectors and probably use molex to solve that problem. At the end of the day, Asbjørn sent me his work on the metronome and score sync. Ath! Samsung 850 EVO 500GB.
To do: Hook up Asbjørns patches to my program!
Move all files (objects) that I use from Google folder to the internal disk. Hook up the programming device. Clean up my Max program.
Have to make a patch that selects Volume, Pan, Fx, (like I have in Vol). Probably I can use PAN instead of Vol in
patch live_set tracks $1 mixer_device volume
patch live_set tracks $1 mixer_device pan?
not working since the pan thing is old-time MIDI.
07.12.16. Back around 10:30. Started to work on the volume control patch by intergrading Asbjørns patch to mine. Vent very well and I had it up and running after lunch (one track version). Then went to look at the metronome that Asbjørn worked on yesterday. Managed to intergrade it to my con-direction patch only to find out that it would be probably better to use small buttons instead of pressure sensors. Might be making one tomorrow. Looked at the panning object and found a way to link that to my accelerator and to circle. Still, have to adjust many parameters to make it turn “the right” way. Meaning that when holding hand straight out the pan should be in the middle position
08.12.16. At work before 10:00. Worked on the pan object the whole day. With a big help from Thom managed to get it to work so that the conductor can see the 4 group panning values. Activate them (one at a time) and take over control. Still, have to find out how to get them back to automation when conductin control is turned off. Having trouble communicating in M4L. Have to clean up my computer!
09.12.16. Started around 10:15. Having trouble with communication in the pan-selector. When I choose track 1 I do get the controlling track 4 activated. Very interesting trouble since it kind of does not make any sense. Also the condition of my laptop not making it easier, with lots of crashes.
